A few days in Stockholm. Day 4

My final day in Stockholm.

Again went for a run before sunrise and it was also sunny!! I started from the hotel over and around Djurugarden. To be honest I woke up about half an hour before my alarm and spent that time coming up with excuses on not running.

In the end I just thought sod it , get your kit on and just go. You’ll only mope around the rest of the day regretting not going and it’s not like I have anything else to do.

The route was similar to yesterday as it’s on the same island as the Skansen museum but took it some beautiful parks. The Swedes really like the outdoors as everything was well paved and in immaculate condition.

There were some very expensive looking houses which most probably explains why it was so well tended.

The route was just over 14k and got back just before 9am, well chuffed that I’d got my act together and gone out.

After breakfast I didn’t really have a plan but seeing as the sun was still out, yesterday it had gone back in thought I’d take another trip to Gamla Stan to explore some more of the side streets.

Decided to give 11am service a swerve as I come out in rash at those sorts of things.

After a couple of hours of walking it must be Fika time.

On the way back I spotted a photography exhibition on Ruth Orkin so decided to go in and see. She was quite a pioneering female photographer in the 40’s and 50’s.
